If you’re new to hiking or starting to explore new areas, planning and research can look different depending on where you go. As an organization founded on the mission to help other grow their skills in the outdoors, we can’t emphasize this step on your “packing list” enough! Whether it’s a day hike or a multi-day trip, take some time to research the trail(s) and the area you’ll be exploring. This knowledge can help make your experience safer and way more enjoyable by allowing you to be confident along your journey and not having any unexpected surprises popup that you’re not prepared for.
